Long winded but it was an excellent experience with Art Van. Excellent, knowledgeable, patient, and respectful salesperson. Efficient and polite delivery. Professional service on the pricing.
We are very happy with the bedroom set, mattress and couch we purchased at Art Van. Don was very helpful and made the process an easy one. The only bummer is that the couch, the dresser, nightstand and bed slats were not in stock so we have to wait until early December for their delivery. That's why this isn't a five-star rating. Overall a positive experience.
If you get the bicycle promotion, be sure to have it checked out by a professional (or yourself if you're capable) as the fork was installed backwards and the brake lines were tangled!

Great experience purchasing a termperpedic mattress set. Had no real knowledge of this product and salesman was very patient and friendly explaining all options. Helped to find what we were most comfortable with and did not push to sell the most expensive products. Only reason for not five stars is prices of bed are very expensive and no specials on sales for these items.
Fast forward a few weeks and I get an ad for 25% off. They had mentioned they'll do price adjustments for you with 30 days of delivery. Call them up, they take my message, Larry was great dealing with us. Turns out there was a miscommunication (they can't offer the price adjustment when there is a promotion going on: "Free _____ with $_____ purchase") but since it was a miscommunication, they offered the difference between the adjustment and the promotion item. Miscommunications happen and Larry was a true professional through it all.
We came back a few hours later, asked for Larry and he was happy to see us of course. We placed an order painlessly as Larry explained the pricing situations they use (20% off price A or 100% of price B, whichever is cheaper) so everything made sense to us down to the penny. We selected a delivery date 6 days later (Saturday to Friday), shook hands and were out the door. Delivery was great. Received a call the day (or two? Don't remember) narrowing a time slot and the crew called the morning of when they were about 45 minutes away. Fast, hard workers. There were some very minor scratches on one of the pieces (rustic style so it was hardly noticeable but they covered it up on the spot and I couldn't tell you where it was anymore). On another style, maybe this could have caused some issues but not on the already weathered look.
Overall great experience. Only negative is due to living in McHenry they consider that a rural location and the only day of the week they can deliver is Thursdays.
We went in just browsing for a new bedroom set. We knew we were interested in buying something soon but were just making the rounds to various stores. From the first minute, Art Van was the best experience. Like everywhere else, a very friendly salesman (Larry) met us at the door and heard what we were looking for. Unlike everywhere else, Larry just let us wander so we could get an idea of what they had to offer. That's right, no salesperson pulling you around from set A to set B to set C. Once we started to narrow in on a style and price, he shared a few other options with us. We needed to make some measurements and wanted to look at a few more places (mostly online) before we placed an order, so we told Larry we would be back later (Surely they've heard this many many times...)
